I dropped by the Station Gallery last week and it was a fun surprise to see a couple of commissions I painted last year to commemorate the 1929 Port Stanley boxcar on display. The gallery has used the boxcar for almost 40 years but it has now been decommissioned and it will be moved to another site.
The boxcar, named the Nicholas Novak Print Studio, has been an inspiring studio space since the 70's and it will be missed. Happily though, the print equipment has been moved to the recently renovated multipurpose studio located downstairs in the gallery.
