Whitby Ribfest welcomes over 50,000 guests each year with all proceeds providing support to both local community projects and international initiatives through projects of the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise. Each year Whitby Ribfest gets bigger and better and for our 7th year, I had the privilege of organizing our first annual fundraising art exhibition and sale!

The Whitby Art Show was a resounding success! It was a fantastic addition to our community event and we had countless comments of appreciation of the work included in the show. Many paintings were sold over the weekend to enthusiastic collectors with 30% of each sale donated to Rotary projects. Our demo artists were a huge hit as they amazed the crowd with their creativity. The show will definitely be back next year in a bigger capacity so please check www.whitbyribfest.com/art towards the end of the year for next year’s details.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to everyone who supported this community event and for helping to raise money for much needed projects. Through Rotary, people from all continents and cultures come together to exchange ideas, form friendships and professional connections while making a difference in our backyards and around the world. I was so glad to be a part of this event and connect with so many new artists and art lovers.
