Painting glass has become a bit of an obsession for me. The delicate strength and structure of glass, the reflections and colours, the distortion of shapes and curves is a great challenge to paint. The Gathering is a new painting completed recently (18" x 30", oil on canvas).

My goal is always to paint loosely and abstractly yet have all the elements pull together realistically when viewed as a whole. Below are a few close up shots that show the brushstrokes (click to enlarge).
