There are evenings when the lake seems to hold its breath. ​ As the sun slips toward the horizon, the water becomes a mirror, gathering every colour from the sky and carrying it across the surface in ribbons of gold, peach, and silver-blue. The world grows quiet, the shoreline fades into silhouette, and for a few fleeting moments everything feels illuminated from within. ​ Luminous was inspired by one of those unforgettable sunsets when the light was so intense it seemed to transform both sky and water into a single glowing expanse. I wanted to capture not just the beauty of the scene, but the feeling of being present in it, watching the last light of day stretch across the lake before giving way to evening. ​ This painting is a celebration of light, reflection, and the peaceful moments that remind us to pause and simply take it all in.
